I’m Juliana, a designer, leader, and strategist. I’m a visual thinker with an autobiographical memory and a deep curiosity to understand how all things work. This gives me a unique ability to see and retain the smallest of details, while never losing sight of the big picture.

For more than 10 years, I’ve worked with many companies, from small agencies, to startups, to large corporations, solving complex problems and bringing delightful experiences to people all over the world. I’ve successfully shipped features and products of all sizes at every stop.

I developed my skills as a product designer while working at Tank Design in Cambridge, MA, a small agency specializing in branding and digital experiences. It was there that I discovered I had a knack for understanding complicated systems, applications, and software, from FedEx tracking tools, to global security platforms for Symantec/Norton. Working on so many different kinds of projects helped me to identify patterns and connections across product spaces, industries, and users. I put my memory to use, and over the course of my career, I’ve continued to amass, in my head, a database of sorts that allows me to recall seemingly random situations, scenarios, and edge cases, to inform and influence whatever I might be working on now, and in the future.

I’ve taken this same approach to management and leadership, using my past experiences to ensure those around me feel supported and seen, my teams and projects are set up for success, and empathy is at the heart of everything.

While today I love creating digital products and software, my background is in art and design, which I’m as passionate about as I’ve ever been. I attended the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland, where I earned an honors degree in Visual Communication. I’ve carried the emphasis of visual communication throughout my career, believing that without the inclusion of strong typography, and balanced and delightful visuals and interactions, the user’s experience is incomplete.

For fun, I do photography and ceramics, hike around New England, and explore (i.e. eat my way through) New York City.
